What you'll need
- 2 x 100g balls of DK yarn (one or two colours)
- A pair of 4mm (UK 8 / US 6) knitting needles
- A wool/darning needle
Tension: 22 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm in stocking stitch on 4mm needles.

Step-by-step instructions
1. Knit the sides (make 2)
- 1Cast on 48 stitches with 4mm needles.
- 2Work in k2, p2 rib for 4cm.
- 3Continue in stocking stitch until the piece measures 16cm from the cast-on.
2. Shape the top
- 1Row 1: *k4, k2tog* to end. Continue decreasing every other row until 8 stitches remain.
- 2Thread yarn through remaining stitches and pull tight.
3. Assemble
- 1Sew the two pieces together, leaving gaps for the handle and spout.
- 2Make a small pom-pom or bobble for the top. Weave in all ends.
Top tip: Measure your teapot before starting — adjust the cast-on by adding or removing stitches in multiples of 6 for a wider or narrower fit.
