Step-by-step instructions

1. Measure and cast on

  1. 1Measure your tablet. Cast on enough stitches for the width plus 2cm ease (roughly 40 stitches for a 10-inch device).

2. Knit the body

  1. 1Work in stocking stitch with a 3-stitch garter border on each side until the piece is twice the height of your tablet plus 5cm for the flap.

3. Fold and finish

  1. 1Fold the piece around the tablet and sew the side seams.
  2. 2Add a button loop to the flap and sew on a button. Weave in all ends.

Top tip: For extra padding, line the inside with a piece of felt or fleece fabric.
