Moss Stitch Scarf
A beautifully textured scarf in moss stitch (also called seed stitch). The reversible fabric looks great from both sides.

What you'll need
- 2 x 100g balls of Aran yarn
- A pair of 5mm (UK 6 / US 8) knitting needles
- A wool/darning needle
Tension: 18 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm in moss stitch on 5mm needles.

Step-by-step instructions
1. Cast on
- 1Cast on 39 stitches (odd number) with 5mm needles.
2. Moss stitch
- 1Row 1: *k1, p1* to last stitch, k1.
- 2Row 2: *p1, k1* to last stitch, p1.
- 3Repeat rows 1-2 until the scarf measures 150cm.
3. Cast off
- 1Cast off in pattern. Weave in all ends.
Top tip: Moss stitch does not curl, so your scarf will lie perfectly flat without any blocking.
