Chunky Crochet Cowl
A thick, warm cowl in chunky yarn that works up in under an hour. Double crochet throughout — as easy as it gets.

What you'll need
- 1 x 100g ball of chunky yarn
- An 8mm (UK 0 / US L-11) crochet hook
- A wool/darning needle

Step-by-step instructions
1. Foundation
- 1Chain 50 and join with sl st to form a ring (careful not to twist).
2. Work in rounds
- 1Ch1, dc in each st around, join with sl st. Repeat for every round.
- 2Continue until the cowl measures 25cm tall.
3. Finish
- 1Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Top tip: For extra warmth, work this cowl tall enough to fold over — a double-layer cowl is gorgeously snug.
