Step-by-step instructions
1. Foundation
- 1Chain 182 (or a multiple of 14 + 2).
2. Chevron pattern
- 1Row 1: 2tr in 4th ch from hook, *1tr in each of next 5 ch, tr2tog over next 2 ch, 1tr in each of next 5 ch, 3tr in next ch* to end. Ch3, turn.
- 2Row 2: 2tr in base of ch3, *1tr in each of next 5 tr, tr2tog, 1tr in each of next 5 tr, 3tr in next st* to end. Ch3, turn.
- 3Repeat row 2, changing colour every 2-4 rows, until the blanket measures 130cm.
3. Finish
- 1Fasten off. Weave in all the colour-change ends neatly along the zigzag peaks and valleys.
Top tip: Count your stitches at the end of every row — it is easy to miss the increases at the peaks. The stitch count should stay the same on every row.
