What you'll need

  • 1 x 100g ball of Aran yarn
  • A pair of 5mm (UK 6 / US 8) knitting needles
  • A wool/darning needle
  • 2 buttons (decorative, optional)

Step-by-step instructions

1. Cast on (make 2)

  1. 1Cast on 36 stitches with 5mm needles.

2. Rib

  1. 1Work in k3, p1 rib for 15cm (adjust for your desired height).

3. Finish

  1. 1Cast off in rib. Sew the side seam. Add a decorative button if you wish. Weave in ends. Make the second cuff.

Top tip: These work brilliantly in a tweed Aran for a countryside look.
