What you'll need
- 1 x 50g ball of soft DK baby yarn
- A pair of 3.25mm (UK 10 / US 3) knitting needles
- A wool/darning needle
Tension: 24 stitches and 32 rows to 10cm in stocking stitch on 3.25mm needles.

Step-by-step instructions
1. Cast on and rib
- 1Cast on 72 stitches with 3.25mm needles.
- 2Work in k1, p1 rib for 3cm.
2. Body
- 1Work in stocking stitch until the hat measures 10cm from the cast-on edge.
3. Shape and finish
- 1Row 1: *k4, k2tog* to end. Row 2: purl. Row 3: *k3, k2tog* to end. Continue decreasing until 6 sts remain.
- 2Thread yarn through, pull tight. Sew the side seam. Weave in ends.
